Leviticus 23:2
 - "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts."

In ancient times, the LORD commanded the Israelites to observe his various holy days and feasts. He had them use a lunar (moon based) calendar, where the New Moon signified the beginning of a new month. This differs from the solar (sun based) calendar widely used today.

We have taken the liberty of compiling two lists for you: the first, marks the dates of the new moons for an entire year, with the second marking the dates of the different biblical holy days. Use the drop down box below to open the corresponding document.
